When should my Baby start crawling and walking?

Pediatrician Sonya Sethi Gohill reviews when you can expect your child to crawl and then take his or her’s first steps. Most begin to crawl within 7-10 months of age, which can be a very exciting time for both parent and child. This allows them to move about on their own and creates a sense of independence and freedom. Crawling will then lead to them standing up and then walking, which usually happens between 12-18 months. Before you know it, you’re little one will be running, so take the time to enjoy the process. It goes quickly!

How to pick the right stroller?

Dive into the world of baby strollers with Authors Linda Meadow and Jane Buckingham, along with Fitness Specialist Farrah Zweig. The most important things to consider when choosing a stroller is what it’ll be used for and how practical it will be. When you first have a child, you want something easy. Most of the fancy and beautiful strollers you probably admire are typically a pain to deal with. They are complicated and not easy to open and shut or fold away into your car.

When to buy baby's first shoes?

Podiatrist Noah Blumofe discusses when your baby should don their first pair of shoes. When babies are first learning to walk, they need to be as close to barefoot as possible. They need to feel the ground and what is called proprioception, or the perception of where we are in space and time. This is a learned trait your baby will need. While babies are still learning to walk, keep them barefoot unless they are outside and their feet need protection.
