Anna Getty, Founder of Pregnancy Awareness Month, shares her top tips for women who are pregnant for their first time

Transcription:
For pregnant women, I think it's really important. This idea of nurturing is I think one of the most important aspects for pregnant women. Whenever I meet a pregnant woman, first of all I just want to hug her and tell her how exciting it is, this journey she's about to embark on. This is what I want you to know. I want you to eat well. I want you to sleep. I want you to stay hydrated. I want you to take the time to reflect on an inner level. Get quiet. Converse with your baby. You know, there's this baby growing inside you and you're already building a relationship with your baby now, not once your baby's born. So to have that communion with them I think is incredibly invaluable. Again, sleeping. Sleep now. Sleep once your baby's born. Drink a lot of water. Make sure that you continue to have a close relationship with your partner, with your family, with your friends. Do yoga. Do exercise. Talk walks. Be in nature. Take baths. Meditate. Pray. Connect with yourself.
