The hard truth is diet and exercise... that's the key. But some people just have genetics that make it harder than others. What are his eating habits like?
I've found the best way is to lead by example. Focus on healthy habits for the whole family and then the weight should come off on it's on. Some kids truly are naturally larger than others, but self-esteem is important. Pay more attention to providing healthy alternatives and activiites and less on the weight. My pediatrician would always say if the kids get a little heavy, focus on not gaining weight, not the losing. I've started with things like, "I need to get a little healthier, I think I'm going to have a big salad before dinner tonight, anyone one to help me make one?" Your son will enjoy the time with you and the habits are great for him as well.
Make it a family affair! Go for walks in the morning and/or after dinner. Offer more fruits and vegetables. The important thing is just communicate love and acceptance. My oldest was overweight as a teen, he took it upon himself to lose the weight and now, at 26 reminds me he has the body of fight club.
Making it a familiy affair is a great idea. Have the whole family focus on a healthier lifestyle, that way the entire family benefits and your child won't feel targeted.
My daughter needed to lose weight and when I gave her suggestions or offered to help she sometimes felt like I was juding her or thinking she was too heavy. It ended up being my son who helped to keep her motivated. He offered to walk with her. Then he asked her to just jog for half the time. For some reason she responded well to him!

My daughter does that "don't judge me because of my weight" bit whenever I bring up her weight. But when I stopped bothering her about her weight, she took the initiative to work out and eat right most of the time (I guess the thought that she will be starting school soon helped, too.)
Hi. I am new to these forums. I hope that my advice will be beneficial to you at some point of time. I think regular exercises are the best to loose weight. My friend was able to lose weight by thé cellulite that is available at https://www.cellublue.com/fr/product/mydetoxtea-mycellutea/. Also, we need to eat healthy diet.
