Integrating a new love in to a child's life is something that's not easy and I think it's so individualized for so many people. For me, the best thing I could do is make sure that my daughter knew that she was loved and that she was cared for. And, that this person that we're bringing in was somebody that was just going to enhance the life that we already had and it wasn't going to raise her mom who had died and it wasn't going to you know, render her sort of out of our lives. She's still a big part of our lives and that's something that's really important. And, what that's done is allowed us to integrate Brooke in to our family so much better than I think we could have if we just completely erased Liz. It's something that I would never do. But, in a lot of cases, that's what happens. And, what we've done is Brooke now is really great and very close with Liz's family. And, she takes trips with us and we travel quite frequently with them and spend a lot of time with them. And, I think that's something that's really helped ease us in as a new couple and it has made us more acceptable to our family and our friends and also to our daughter. And, that the most important thing is that Maddie know that Brooke is there for her, but also that her mom will always be there as well.
