Some parents wonder why their child seems to be the one who's often drawn to the more narcissistic, difficult, demanding, pushy kid in the class. The one who's grabbing all of the attention. If your child doesn't child feel good about who they are or if your child feels inferior, lacks confidence and a sense of value, they may find themselves stirring towards that person who either is going to reinforce the message because it feels so right to them. Meaning that the bully will pick on them and that was scary. It feels right. Or they're hoping that maybe all of that specialness of little Prima donna in the classroom is going to rub off on your child. And it will just make her feel ever more special to be affiliated with the popular crowd. That's another reason why it happens.
