Many parents want to know how old their child should be in order for them to be able to get a facial, or a peel, or something along those lines for their acne. The problem is, is there is no hard and fast answer. Puberty happens in a tremendous age range these days. Somewhere between 10 and 15. So, I can’t give you and exact answer for that. However, extractions, facials, microdermabrasions, and peels can be helpful for children with mild acne. However, if your child is getting scars, deep cysts, or a lot of inflammation in their skin, they should see their dermatologist in order to get some prescription medication to help.
