First Year Overview

When should my Baby start crawling and walking?

Pediatrician Sonya Sethi Gohill reviews when you can expect your child to crawl and then take his or her’s first steps. Most begin to crawl within 7-10 months of age, which can be a very exciting time for both parent and child. This allows them to move about on their own and creates a sense of independence and freedom. Crawling will then lead to them standing up and then walking, which usually happens between 12-18 months. Before you know it, you’re little one will be running, so take the time to enjoy the process. It goes quickly!
