Are there tips to have a better dietary, nutritional experience while eating out? Yeah, certain things to look for. You know, if you're going to - it depends on the restaurant you're going to, but try and avoid fried foods in particular, because chances are they're going to be using vegetable shortening or oils and fats that probably are partially hydrogenated fats. And you don't want that, because that can have negative consequences on the unborn fetus.
You want to stay with very simple things, things that are baked, broiled, grilled, and they are not cooked in a lot of oils. Stir fried, sautéed, that's fine. typically you don't find those things sautéed with vegetable shortening. They might be sautéed with vegetable oil, and that's okay. So try to keep your eating out experience, choose very simple things, and you'll be okay.
