Anna Getty: Nurturing a pregnant woman, I believe is about giving her the time, to give her the space to connect to her wisdom as a woman. I have noticed that woman in this society, you know, in 2013; very busy, working, careers, don’t take the time to listen to themselves, to honor their wisdom. And I think a lot of women go into pregnancy just really phonetic and crazed. And so giving a woman the time to, to just stop and learn how to, I don’t want to just say to nurture themselves, like this idea of baths and putting, anointing themselves with oil, not just the idea of meditating and communing with your baby, but to slow down and to remember that we’re animals. And that our bodies have this divine wisdom. So can you take the time, connect to the community that will help you find that wisdom within you. What does that mean for you? And it means asking questions. It means finding the right people to support you, who can nurture you, and that means talking to your husband, talking to your mother, talking to your friends. You know, finding the midwife, finding the doctor who are all going to support you on this journey.
