Hi, I'm happy to be Part of this Great Group

Posted August 14, 2015 - 9:11am

Hello everyone. My name is Kim and I'm a proud momma to 5 ranging in age from 17 to 3. So I'm very familiar with babys and preschoolers and getting to know the teen age years since I have a girl and boy in that age range.

I often say that your physically tired when the kids are younger because they don't sleep, but once they hit the teen age years it goes to mental exhaustion as you try to figure them out.

So I'm excited to be here to get great advice from others, and also to share what has helped me out through out the years.

I also have two teen girls, 17 and 18 and a ten year old boy, and you are right about the mental exhaustion when it comes to the teens!  Looking forward to hearing advice on how to raise teens, too

Hi! I think you are right about the mental exhaustion - my oldest is entering the tween stage and she's already hurting my head. I can't imagine having such a range of ages under one roof. Must make for some good stories!

It's never boring here and each of the schools know our family.

Hi Kim!I have to agree..I used to think the baby and toddler years were exhausting! My son is not quite a teen yet but is a Tween who thinks he is a teen and I am finding it a bit more challenging and exhausting, as well.

When my oldest hit 12 was when I truley recognized the difference between mental exhaustion and physical exhaution of the younger years.  It's also when my hair started turning gray.

lol..yes, I was physically exhausted when my son was a baby..lol..but ever since he hit 11..I am emotionally exhausted and yes, I see a few gray hairs! eek...;)

I was hoping it would become a little easier as they get older. I guess I have a lot to learn. Luckily, I have some years before they are even close to being teens.
