Fun Fall activities

What are your favorite activities with your kids in the Fall? We like hiking since it is cooler and going for more walks with our pup. What are some of your favorite Fall time activities?

Fall in NY State is gorgeous but so short. It seems there is never enough time to do all the traditional Fall things as the weather will abruptly change or we are hustling to get outdoor projects buttoned up before the snow flies. We like to go to a pumpkin farm that has so much for the kids to do in Pennsylvania. I want to pick apples and we are going to the Rhinebeck Sheep Festival on the 18th. Never enough time or good weather. lol.

Love fall hiking and looking at all the leaves turning colors, corn mazes and apple picking too. Fall in Seattle is beautiful!

I have heard that Fall is beautiful there. :) We have family there and will have to visit there one day. :)

We just started hiking as a family this summer so I'm looking forward to going in the faill to see the colors too. Now it's just a matter of finding the time to do it with all the school work and activiities.

Love our sunny fall days! Oddly, I've never been apple picking!

I'll be going to a Pumpkin patch with my 3 year olds pre-school this week as a field trip. We've also done this as a family activity in the past and the kids really enjoyed it.

How was the pumpkin patch? Have you gone yet? Share with us the experience.

We go tomorrow and the weather is looking good so I'm actually excited about it. When I've gone in the past with other kids, it's been rainy and cold.

We love hiking, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, pumpkin patches, bon fires and Kersey Valley's Spooky Woods!

I love the Pumpkin Patch too! Think we will take our pup there this year..

Last year we were so busy we got our pumpkins at Walmart but we usually make a trip to the pumpkin patch and do a pumpkin carving night. Fall is so incredibly busy, it's hard to fit everything in!

I agree! There are so many Halloween and Fall events...I am finding that we are already picking and choosing.

My teens are wanting to try the haunted house put on by a popular radio station. I am okay with them going, but I want no part of that, haha.

With you on that one. I hate haunted houses.

My son scares easily...so no haunted houses for us! I amy be attending Dark Harbor at the Queen Mary though and that is pretty scary!
