Favorite Summer Activities with the Kids

So it's about back to school time. I'm just wondering what everybody's favorite activity was with there kids this summer. Was it something new?
I know for us swimming and hiking (which was new this year) were our favorite activities. I like that both include all ages.

Same for us - hiking and jumping into a lake or waterfall were our favorites. We also did some sunset picnics at the beach and a trip to the waterslide park. We also enjoyed our fire pit in the backyard for making s'mores! Happy end of summer

I've considered the fire pit, but so far having done that. I'm trying to really enjoy the last week with the kids. Always makes me sad to have them go back to school.

I'm glad that we still have a couple more weeks.We have enjoyed the Water Park, beach and hiking this summer!

Oh how I'm wishing the kids weren't back in school. I'm missing our time already and it's only been two days. I'm hoping to do some more hiking this weekend.

We homeschool so we have some flexibility. We start school after Labor Day.

My teens recently asked if we could go for a night time drive. That was really fun and different. We went downtown and on a road overlooking the water. We just talked and listened to music and looked at how pretty everything was lit up. Fun and free!

What a neat idea. Being in the car togehter does lead to some great discussions with the kids.

I love night time drives..we have fountains near us that play to music and a red car that runs on the weekends..love these outings with my son.

For us it was & is always the movies. We liked to go to the park & have a BBQ or picnic. We really enjoy the outdoors. We do like to watch tv & movies on TV.

We watch movies on TV quite frequently too. It's one of my husbands favorites.
