Right now I collect dust and cobwebs. ;) We have a pretty good Disney movie collection but we aren't really big into collecting anything. When I was a kid I had a lot of collections: rocks, stickers, pencils, erasers — I loved collecting and trading!
YES! I have lots of dust and cobwebs. Also clumps of cathair. It's a fabulous collection. No but really, we collect knick-knacks from other countries. We have a collection of small things that were gifts and then large things for our home we've purchased in Central America. Also we collect concert posters, but only limited edition ones from concerts we've actually attended. It's our bedroom decor. :)
I don't collect anymore. When my mom was alive she collected sand dollars and things with seagulls since she grew up in Maine. I tend to still buy those types of things but don't have any official collections. It sounds like fun to do though.
I collect I Love Lucy memorabilia. I love the show and crack up each and every time I watch it - and I've probably seen all the episodes hundreds of times over the years. I was so happy that my kids started enjoying the show too, even quoting some lines from it occasionally, lol. But it's tough trying to keep them from going into my display cabinet and sometimes taking out the collector Lucy dolls I have in there.
I understand how it can be when your kids get into something and want to see the stuff you have but are not as aware of the value. How long have you been collecting I Love Lucy Memorabilia? Did you see the children's book they just published about her life?
My husband comes from a family of big collector's. They love it. There have been times when I got into it with a few things, but now am just trying to simplify.

I'm a dust and cobweb collector too. My husband loves legos and Nascar so we have a bunch of those.

What a fun collection! It's cool your kids enjoy it too — she really was funny! My favorite was when Lucy and Ethel worked at the chocolate factory!
