Not sure how to describe it but I have always had this huge sense of responsibility for my kids (they are ages 7 and 10) current happiness and future welfare. It's crazy I know - especially since I am not God. It hinders our relationships because I am so hyper-vigilant and anxious about my behavior around them. Ironically this over-concern is NOT helping anyone.....
