The goals and the rewards of a token economy have to be attainable for the child to be able to succeed. So you want to start small. If you're trying to eradicate a behavior, you can't expect a 100% perfection immediately. You're going to have to start small to where they eliminate it, maybe a little bit at a time, so they can maintain those goals. And then you can tighten it up as you go so that - It's a gradient.
So today, they may only have a tantrum, 2 out of 3 times that they had an incident. And then you keep on tightening it up so that they are able to achieve the goal. They have to be able to succeed.
