Research on Children, Play, and Screentime
Hello there!
My name is Grace and I am currently a sophomore in Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design. For my spring semester final I am researching to design a product that can allow children to have playful cognitive and physical experiences within the home. My goal is to respond to the issues of decrease in children playing outdoors at parks and the increase of children playing in front of screens (such as TVs, computers, Iphones, etc.) which has been a concern to many parents.
I am mainly looking to get feedback from parents particularly about children ages 5-12 years old. Any of your comments, feedback, and stories would be great.
Thank you very much for your time!

I've noticed that for my kids will use electronics and play video games only when they are bored and when I or their dad can't give them the intention they want. Whenever we suggest them to play some board game or something they would forget about electronics completely.
