Moving from a house or even a double-wide to a one-bedroom apartment can be a significant change. You are going to have a lot less space, but at the same time, you are going to save on energy.

Add mirrors to your apartment

If you have windows hang curtains. Long curtains. Hang the rod well above the window and make sure the curtains almost touch the ground. This will give the illusion that your walls are longer than they are.
The same thing goes with bookshelves. A bookshelf that goes all the way to the ceiling will give a long look.
Keep it clean
The fastest way to make a one-bedroom apartment look small is to have trash lying around. last thing you want is to invite a friend over and the feel trapt in your small apartment when you could’ve easily fixed the problem.
