Anyone who has a child, including me, at some point in life starts to think about the future that kid will inherit, especially now when the world is changing faster than ever. Hence, if you consider even the simplest facts about the world we’re living in, you’ll come to some pretty frightening conclusions: money runs the world, oil has greater value than water (even though petrol vehicles will go to the past), children in Africa drink from dirty swamps and whales die due to pollution of ocean water. So, while I’m wondering if this is the world we really plan to leave to our children, one thing is sure – the sooner we become aware of the damage our planet is suffering, the greater are chances to save it for the future generations.
Face the reality With over 70% of our planet covered in oceans, we ended up with almost a million people dying from a water related diseases every year and 750 million lacking the access to clean water. This is not just a piece of shameful reality we should face, but an indicator that in upcoming years our children may be included in this terrifying statistics. There’s an old Arabian legend about the prophet who predicted that people will lose their minds due to the water they’ve poisoned, so he spent years preserving the clean water in noggins until one day his prophecies became true. People were drinking poisoned water and gradually losing their minds. Soon it was completely normal to be deviant, but the prophet was drinking his healthy water and watched the world dying. As he was getting older, he couldn’t stand people’s depravity and his spiritual solitude anymore, so he decided to drink poisoned water in order not to die alone. We should all keep this pristine legend in mind, since our children are not so far away from the scenario this Wiseman predicted. It is our duty, firstly as parents and then as deeply conscious beings, to love and respect our habitat.
Realize how precious water is It’s certain that both oil and water present real blessings given to us by Mother Nature, but it seems like the world can’t realize which one of those two treasures is more precious, even though the answer lays in front of our eyes. Society consumes more oil than it can be discovered, what enormously increases its price, not to mention the pollution which oil spills create in the oceans and the fact that oil can be replaced with a number of other energy sources. On the other side, we’ve got water as an irreplaceable resource on which depend the lives of the future generations. So, now when we’re gradually approaching to the moment when we’ll have to choose between water and oil, it should be clear what is the priority. Still, we are witnessing an escalation of political conflicts over the oil sources, rapidly growing oil prices and catastrophic environmental consequences, while tremendous water crisis is knocking on our doors. Apart from dozens of benefits which make water so precious and fundamental, there are some recent studies which showed that water has memory – not only it changes its chemical composition but it also absorbs energetic properties on its way through different environments. If you think about it just for a second, conclusion is obvious. Water molecule which “heard” the Beethoven must be healthier from the one which listens political speech of powerful figures.
We can create the solutions Even though it sometimes doesn’t seem like the power is in our hands, the truth is we can make healthier environment for our children. Firstly, make smart choices, give an advantage to resources you really need and try to use them in the way which is as harmless as possible to the environment. Another option is to install water filters on your taps in order to protect your family and ensure that the water your kids are drinking is at least chemically pure and mineralised. However, that’s just a temporary solution, because the problem will continue to exist, until we realize that only a true mind revolution can make things better.
Even though this may sound terrifying, we are getting closer to the situation where we’ll have to trade gold for drinking water, so if we want a better planet for our children, we’ve got to choose life and health over profit. And remember – one positive thought can defeat three negative. Think about it.
