So advice on breastfeeding. I think, like any new mom, before I had my daughter, I was so worried. Will I be able to breastfeed my child? I really, really wanted to. Will the milk come in? You know, all the unknown variables I was really concerned about. But I was determined to give it a good try. I did breastfeed my children. All three of them for over ten months and I'm very proud of that because it's really hard being a working mom and breastfeeding and the pump and everything. But, I will say this to encourage moms. It's not easy, I mean if it is easy for you God bless you. You're probably one of the few. In the beginning, everything changes, you have this new baby and you're hormones are all over the place and there's one more thing you have to do like nursing you're baby and you're not knowing if they're getting enough milk. You have all these things in your mind. But, I will say it really, really hurts in the beginning, but you really have to understand that it's very new for the baby and new for yourself. So I just encourage new moms to really be patient with the process. It's going to take a while for the baby to get used to you and its going to take a while for your nipple to get used to that sucking sensation. I mean yes it's going to be raw, yes it's will bleed, yes it will crack open. All those things will happen. I promise you, after the first week or two, you're going to be fine. Then it's the most enjoyable thing you will ever experience. You know now, of course I'm not breastfeeding my children, but I look back on those times when I would hold my baby and we would connect and I would look at him. Like thats priceless. That's priceless. So if you're there and you're frustrated and you don't know what to do, just stick it out. I promise you you will be successful and you will not regret it.
