What is my advice as a stay-at-home dad in finding other stay-at-home dads? Personally, for me, social media played a big role in this. Between Facebook and Twitter, I was aware of people in the same situation as myself. Even going on Twitter and researching the hash tag stay-at-home dad - you'd really be surprised at how many people you find in your geographical area that are going through the same thing you are. The play grounds have been helpful for me. I've met a couple of really great guys who live in my area, and have connected with them. It's really important. As a stay-at-home dad, we are kind of a minority, and connecting with someone who is in the same situation as you and just overall sharing about your daily routine is really helpful. I think it was important for me to connect with other stay-at-home dads, because I think everyone is in their own place. I've got a few years under my belt, but some of the other guys I've connected with are in a place that I was 2 years ago. They've taken that confidence hit. They've taken the esteem hit. And speaking as someone who's been through it, it's almost like a mini-support group, knowing that there's someone else going through the same situation that you are in, I think, does a lot.
