How do I feel about the title Mr. Mom when people say to me Mr. Mom or call me Mr. Mom? Well, Mr. Mom was a film from 1983 with Michael Keaton who was an ubiquitous '80s actor, and it was written my John Hughes but it wasn't directed by John Hughes, so it wasn't as funny as most John Hughes films. And I find that people that refer to me as Mr. Mom are essentially stuck in the early '80s. Because the movie was kind of cheesy, Mr. Mom as a title is cheesy, and some of those people, while I wouldn't call them cheesy, are kind of stuck socially in those norms and traditions. So I try not to get too put out about it. You wouldn't certainly call a mother who had worked and was staying home Mrs. Dad or Working Mom Mrs. Dad; you wouldn't make that switch gender-wise. So I just kind of nod and walk on.

Scott LenzStay-at-Home Dad
Scott Lenz was born in Lewisberg, Pennsylvania. By the time he reached 9th grade, he had been to eight schools, which explains a lot about his social awkwardness. However, his wife Suzanne and two kids - Jaron, 13 and Georgia, 10 - went to less than five schools combined, so it all evens out.
He was the original rat mascot for Chuck E. Cheese, and since then has been a record store manager, music journalist, television documentarian and, most recently and importantly, a stay-at-home dad. His single greatest hope is that ABBA will one day reunite.
