So early age swimming has more than just benefits of drowning prevention and physical improvements in children. The newest research out of Australia, Griffith University, came out in 2013, their study results at the US Swim Conference in October.
They found through this study comparing children who start swimming early versus kids who aren’t swimming are actually achieving, learning milestones, key cognitive, social physical, motor, and linguistic milestones up to 15 months earlier than kids who aren’t swimming.
