The best resources that we have found when we first got diagnosed with food allergies is FAN, Food Allergy and Anaphalaxis Network. We are currently members. We have been able to go to their walk for a cure walks almost every year since we have been members, about six years now. And we have also been able to attend their conferences, which are annually and pretty local to where we live. Another resource that has been fabulous is belonging to a food allergy support group. And that is where we met other families just like ours with multiple food allergies, some with the same type of reactions as our daughter, some with more severe. And it has been so helpful because we found out that we are not alone and some of the parents have been able to go through what we are going through years ago. So what did they do in terms of entering kindergarden and first grade? How did they help keep their kid safe? And currently some of them are actually working with their kids who are going to college and how to help prepare them to go to college and keep them safe.
