If you think your teenager is using drugs and you are thinking about drug testing them, this is a decision you have to take very seriously. Talk to other members of your community. Talk to your teenager's friends parents. See if they are concerned about same issues. This will help see if you are on the same page as your child's friends parents. Next, sit down and talk with your teenager before you consider buying a drug test. This way you can actually see what they are saying, what the issues are for them; and can warn them. "Look, I'm thinking about buying a drug test, but I really want to trust you. Can I trust you?" Sometimes just the threat of thinking about having to take a drug test can get your teenager to shape up. Lastly, if behavior isn't changing, approach the child's school. Ask them for help. Maybe they will have a seminar or would be willing to talk to your child about their drug use.
