Moving to a community that supports my gay son has had an amazing effect on him. He is class president; he is a straight A student; he has not had a B in 3 years; he has tons of friends; he has a fashion blog that is kind of in Seattle. A lot of kids would write to his blog a little later like " Oh I saw you in the bus" or "I saw you in the Nordstrom but did not come up and say Hi. He is like this little Seattle celebrity but he is on like the Nordstrom fashion board. He has got a part time job in a woman's clothing store and has record sales where he works. He is so confident and also he has been hired to do the windows at this new very trendy store that is opening . He is just blossoming into this absolutely amazing person. He is happy and actually he said to me the other day because our financial situation is greatly different than it is used to be because of all the changes we have made in order to get him to the community where in but he said, "you know mommy we have never had less things, he said, but I have never been happier" and I can see it in him that he is truly happy because he can just be who he is in where we are now.
