You know, every child should really participate in the care and upkeep of the place where they live, and that means that every kid really should have some chores. And kids as young as 2 can help you around the house. My 2 year olds, my kids when they were 2, they knew how to make up their beds. They knew how to pick up their toys. They knew that it was their responsibility to take their plate off their table and put it in the sink. They're not washing dishes and scrubbing floors, but at that age, there are some ways that they can participate in the care and upkeep of their home. And now my older daughter, she's 12, her chore is that she has to cook dinner one time a week. And she has to wash the dishes 2 times a week. And she has to make sure that the kitchen is clean in a very specific way. And that's not about me having a little slave. That's about me having a child who understands how to take care of her surroundings so when she leaves my house, she can go and live in her apartment, know how to wash her clothes, know how to cook herself a meal, and know how to take care of her home. That's about raising a human being. That's not about being unfair to your child or you falling down on your job because you decided to let your kids help around the house. So, yeah, every kid should have some chores. Absolutely.
