Trusting children, it's so funny. There is this general perception, in society, that left to their own devices, children will run wild. They will lie, cheat, steal, and eat nothing but refined sugars. It's just not true. It's just not true. Children are just shorter people who, just like the rest of us, want to be loved, want to be respected, want to participate, want to cooperate, and want to be valued. They don't have bad intentions out of no where. So the answer to, how do I trust my child, is simple. You just do. You decide right now. Trust your child's instincts. Trust your child's motivations. Know that they are good and intend to be that way.
