Depending on your teens diet, your teenager should probably be on some supplements, probably at the minimum, a multi-vitamin.
Is your teen a vegetarian? Does your teenager drink milk? Does your teenager eat fish? The three big ones for me are; calcium, vitamin D, and fish oils. If a teenager is not eating any fish, I'll give them fish oils. If they are not drinking milk or eating yogurt, I'll make sure they are getting their calcium and their vitamin D.
In general, I think a good multi-vitamin is important for teens who may eat a lot of junk food and aren't sitting down for three, good, healthy meals a day.
