When I was first told that my child had test anxiety, I thought it was just some fluffy, silly thing that they had to get over; but it's real.
My advice would be to go and talk to an educational therapist. Talk to the teacher and see who the teacher would recommend, who your school recommends. Make sure that it's somebody you can get a feel for and you truly think your child would be comfortable with. It is anxiety and you want your child to be comfortable.
There are lots of little tricks they will teach your child. When you are looking at a test, go through it quickly, look at what you know, and answer those questions. That way the child is not going to be so nervous about finishing on time. Maybe take the test in another room where it is quieter and they are in there by themselves. Maybe just with the teacher, where they can see this one is almost done. This one is tapping the pencil. That increases anxiety.
Something as simple as taking a sip of water before they sit down to take a test. It worked for my kids. One of them was a son and one of them was a daughter, their anxiety levels were different. Both of them received professional help and it made a huge difference in their performance on tests.
