I think when people hear "digital abuse," they try and understand. I talked to someone earlier, and they were like, "What? Hit them with their cell phone?"
Digital abuse is when you start thinking about the person who is online. That's Facebook, who you are on text messaging, who you are on Twitter. When you see digital abuse, it's maybe when someone might make you check in everywhere you go. "If you are going to go out, you better check in on your Facebook page and let me know where you are."
It could also be where you are being forced to send naked pictures of yourself or pictures that compromise you. It could be somebody putting pictures up about you and tagging you in them. Maybe you've asked them, "Hey, please don't put up pictures on my Facebook page without asking me," and they tag you anyway.
Digital abuse may be going through your Facebook page, and you are trying to break up. They are looking at every little thing that you are doing and trying to contact you and harassing you. When you talk about digital abuse, that's really about the online person versus the offline person.
