Not everybody is going to have success when they go out and play sports, or when they do anything else in life for that matter. So experiencing failure playing sports really gets them ready for what they're going to be getting used to in the rest of their life. So what yo've got to do is encourage your child, let them know that not everybody wins every time, and help them get through that period of time understanding that at some point they're going to do better, other times they're going to do worse, and to stick with it. That's the best thing you can do for them.
