The toughest challenges are the medical intensity of Charles Syndrome and related syndromes and disorders. It is really quite harrowing at times but you will find so much solace from the nurses and the doctors and also by educating yourself and making yourself the best advocate you can possibly be for your child. The greatest joys will come from your child reaching the unimaginable heights. For example, I was told my child would never get out of hospital, would never walk, would never hear, may not see. And you know you really believe in your child and give them the best opportunites, get them the best care, the best therapy that is possible. And you really can move oceans by being a great advocate and it really comes from seeing your child do things which were previously unimaginable.
