There is so much, as far as resources and support groups, and I would imagine that is individual to each person's community. Educate yourself about your community.
My favorite support group, the best forum, was the Special Olympics. I became very involved. God Bless my daughter. I was her coach for four years. It's a way to communicate with other parents to see how they relate with their children, to see how other disabled kids relate in different environments.
