My child didn't actually show too many signs early on.
He was meeting his milestones early, potty trained early, making eye contact. It was until age 2 1/2 and 3 that we started to have some concerns. We would have play dates and he wouldn't be speaking as appropriately as his peers were. Socially connecting with his friends, as well. It wasn't until later, that we started to have some concerns and started to reach out for help.
