A stemming behavior would be a behavior that somebody does because it feels good. So it's some kind of a habit that might be like a rocking behavior, hair twirling, groping themselves inappropriately ¬– something that would be an antisocial behavior. That's something that you would want to use behavior modification with, because it becomes antisocial. So you can use a token economy for that behavior as well, and you could use it like in time frames where they get rewards for not doing that behavior that you know would cause them social problems.
