The GAPS diet is an acronym, it's the gut and psychology syndrome diet. It's a nutritional protocol to help with various psychological symptoms from Autism, ADHD to depression and anxiety. It was developed by a mom who was a physician, who went on to continue her education to learn about nutrition and neurobiology, and whose son has Autism from which he fully recovered.
It is no starches, no grains and no processed foods, to put it lightly. It's a very stringent protocol. It can help families that are dealing with those issues. It's time consuming, but, ultimately, the changes that you see in your children can be very, very rewarding to help them improve without drugs.
