Transcription:
When my son, Julian, was first diagnosed with Autism, my wife and I went into shock. He was a preemie and we worked so hard to have him, it was like, "Oh my God, look at all this. We are now faced with this whole new adventure." It was devastating.
Everyone has a child and thinks he or she is going to be President of the United States. It was devastating. Honestly, it was really a really devastating experience. Now, after this incredible journey and the unbelievable progress he's made through his lifetime, it's really changed and opened me up so much. It has made me a better man in terms of tolerance and the scope of human behavior. Also, to learn that you have to accept your child for who he is and I did. I couldn't imagine him without Autism. I couldn't love him more.
