Well, to deal with my own stress caused by a son with Asperger's, I found the most important thing I need to do is take care of myself. I'm a much better parent and much better understanding and much more compassionate if I'm not tired and I'm not hungry and I'm not stressed. So it's really ultra-important for me to take care of myself. I need to get my exercise, I need to eat right, and it's forcing me to be really good to myself. I need to go surfing and let go of all this stress because it's there, I can't deny that it's there, and I need a way to get it out. So I go to the ocean and let it go, and come back after that and I'm a great dad. But that's the most important thing.
