When we take Mike to the park and to meet new friends, I've never announced that he is anything more than just a kid.
I've kept his Asperger's as something that, if it needs to come up -- I've always had, in the back of my mind, if a situation comes up and I need to tell a parent; I would be willing to do that. I'd rather people deal with him on a kid to kid term. I don't think kids need to know if he's Asperger's or not. Sometimes there will be older children that I may mention to take it easy on him, but no more than I would another child.
I think if someone asked me, that's what I'd tell them, but I try to just put him out there as a normal kid and not make any special labels for him.
