Transcription:
Parents often are confused about where to take their child when there are concerns about ADD or ADHD. In some cases, your pediatrician is the best person to do that, especially if they have training in behavioral pediatrics. In other situations your pediatrician may not feel competent to be able to make that evaluation and will refer you to a child’s psychiatrist. And in other communities, pediatric neurologists are involved in the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD.
In my experience educational psychologist and neuropsychlogist who do the testing for children with ADD are often quite critical in the diagnostic process.
