What children with behavioral problems can benefit from having a brain scan? So this could be pretty much any behavioral issue that your child is struggling with on a regular basis, they most likely could benefit from a brain scan. Especially if you're considering taking them in for an evaluation somewhere to get diagnosed or they've already received a diagnosis, the brain scan can really help with identifying areas of the brain that are working too hard or aren't working hard enough. SO this will give you more information for what type of treatment you need to take, and making sure that it's not making your child worse. We just recently did a study at the Amen Clinics where other doctors outside of our clinic used the spect brain scans that we do to find out if it would help, and they found out that 8 out of 10 times it actually changed the course of their treatment. So I would recommend if you are concerned at all about your child and their behavior, that you could use this approach to help gain more information and find out what's going on with your child.
