Many people think that the best way to keep your child safe on the playground is to help them onto structures and to help them off structures to make sure that you are keeping them safe but actually, the best way to keep children safe on a playground and on playground equipment is to let them explore their capabilities on their own. If a child isn't ready to get on a piece of equipment, they won't do it. And when they are ready, they're probably able to get down on their own as well. And when they're more confident of their capabilities and they understand what they can do without the help of an adult, they will actually stay much safer.
