There are Waldorf Schools all over the country, and they have been around for many years.
A Waldorf School views the child as developing at their own rates. They believe kids are curious and intuitive and will learn though projects and hands-on activities. You will see a lot of activities where they create, do art, and dramatic play. You also see sewing and knitting in a Waldorf School.
Another aspect of a Waldorf School is they often use wood toys. They don't believe in plastic toys, so there are a lot of wood. You will not see electronics at a Waldorf classroom. In the classroom is warm and inviting. It often looks like a home. Natural light is extremely important, the placement of the windows is very important in a Waldorf School.
