It is so difficult to have 2 different children who eat differently than each other. And I feel very lucky that they both have healthy diets. But my son especially loves fruit. He loves certain things that my daughter, she's more on the vegetable side. They just have different palates. And sometimes that can be really challenging at a family meal, to put something on the table and actually be able to sit down and not be a short-order cook and making one meal for this one and one meal for that one and whole other one for my husband. That can be a big challenge. So I've kind of learned how to just put lots of different options out and everybody knows that's what for dinner, that mommy's not getting back up to make another thing, and if there's something else they would like, there's always hummus and there's always vegetables. There's always almond butter and peanut butter and that's their fall back position. So I am not going to be the one getting up and making yet another option and adding to the menu. They're on their own at that point.
