Your due date has passed. Your getting anxious. What can you do? First of all, relax because, especially first time moms, are statistically likely to go into labor following their due date. There are lots of things you can do. I have heard some crazy ones, like, walking on a curb, with one foot on the curb. It seems very dangerous to me, so I'm not advocating that one. Sex; there are prostoglandins in the sperm that can help soften the cervix. Acupuncture can help for some people. There are massage techniques and chiropractic techniques. Some of things may just be relaxing you and allowing you to go into the experience. There's nothing that's really tried or true. Don't lose hope. You are going to have that baby. Only a seriously late woman who is passed her due date, would prefer to have a baby than continue to be pregnant. That's when you know someone is ready to have their baby.
