So when explaining my decision to my family and friends, I really started much earlier than when I actually decided to go through the insemination process. As I said in my mid thirties I decided that this is an option that I might like to explore and at that point in time I started seeding it into conversations with those people that I knew were ultimately going to be positive and supportive.
And then, when I really decided to go through this process, to commit to it, the people which I told back then knew already obviously and the new people in my life were just as supportive – and to be perfectly honest, most of the women that had kids were like, “You can totally do this on your own.” So that was really nice to hear. So that was… that’s really how I chose to tell people about this decision.
