My best advice for dealing with a picky eater is to be there with them. If a child isn't wanting to eat, a parent can encourage them by sitting with them at the dinner table. A parent can encourage them by making sure that the child is seeing the parent eat all the different varieties of food, and a parent can be there helping them eat. Sometimes children don't eat very much because they want a little bit of extra attention from the parent, and they want the parent to just feed them. Even if they seem a little bit big for it, sometimes just the presence of a parent and sitting there making sure that they're getting the nutrition they need can go a long way in helping a picky eater get the right food.
