If your child does something wrong, do you have to discipline them in order for them to learn from their mistake. Research shows that the most effective practice is to explain to your child why, what they did was wrong and talk about what they can do the next time. This way, they understand what was inconsiderate, harmful, hurtful in what they did. They will learn that general principle and how to apply it in the future. Sometimes you may have to discipline your child, but always think about and make it something that they understand, learn from, and really, be grateful for.
