Carpets can be safe for both animals and for humans. We do know, from studies, that carpets are made from over 1,000 chemicals and that new carpet smell, is one of the toxins. These toxins can cause neurologic problems, immune problems, and respiratory problems. If you can do without carpet, try not to have it. If you do have carpet, make sure you use products that are safe for your children and your pets. Make sure that you hire companies that use safe products and be sure that your pet is free of external parasites, so they do not cause infestation in your home.
