The most important thing in addressing the lifestyle change that comes with a baby is to accept and embrace the fact that everything will change.
The advice that I always give to new moms is to really slow down for the first three months. It is okay to say, no, if you don't want to have visitors coming in and out of your house. A baby doesn't need to go anywhere and you deserve the time to be a family. You've spent the better part of 30 years or however long you've waited, learning how to be yourself and now you need to learn how to be a family.
You need to really enjoy this period of self-enforced isolation and learn how to be together. Ultimately, some day there will be date nights, and some day there will be exercise again, but those first three months, you won't get back. Everyone will benefit from a slower pace, first of all, for your baby.
We didn't know this trick for our first baby and we did for our second. It really made everyone much happier and calmer.
